Gary T. Ragghianti

Mr. Ragghianti has been a resident of Marin County since 1948 and has practiced law in Marin since 1969. The majority of his practice is devoted to representing public agencies and cities and emphasizes land use, zoning, environmental law and related litigation. Mr. Ragghianti has served as the City Attorney for four of the eleven cities within Marin County and was the elected City Attorney for the City of San Rafael from 1984 through 2007. He formerly represented the Towns of Tiburon (1977-1985), Corte Madera (1986-1988), the City of Belvedere (1977-2006) and the Stinson Beach County Water District (1981-1997). He currently serves as Counsel to the Novato Fire Protection District (1993). He has also served as Special Counsel to the Marin County Sheriff and the Marin County Superior Court. Mr. Ragghianti is a former President of the Marin County Bar (1982) and has served as a Judge Pro Tem of the Marin County Superior Court.

In addition to his work with public agencies, Mr. Ragghianti's experience includes real estate, transactional and related litigation matters, as well as business related civil litigation. He has represented numerous clients seeking development entitlements and permits in Marin County. Mr. Ragghianti also maintains a significant practice as a mediator/arbitrator with Resolution Remedies in San Rafael emphasizing real estate, construction defect, employment and personal injury litigation.
