Sarah N. Léger
Sarah Léger is a partner of Ragghianti Freitas LLP. Her civil litigation practice focuses primarily on commercial litigation and management-side labor and employment law, although she has experience as lead counsel in nearly all areas of litigation.
Ms. Léger represents employers, including private companies (both midsize corporations and small businesses) and non-profit organizations in all matters pertaining to employment and labor law, including unlawful termination, discrimination, harassment, retaliation and wage and hour actions. She also specializes in providing counseling services to her clients in the area of employment policies and practices.
Ms. Léger also advises and defends public agency clients in matters involving employment discrimination, employee discipline, and labor relations.
Ms. Léger's litigation practice also includes representation of individuals, including in their capacities as shareholders, officers and directors, and corporations in business disputes, such as shareholder derivative actions and trade secret litigation.
Ms. Léger is the Chair of the Marin County Bar Association Labor and Employment Law Section and is a member of the Board of Directors of Legal Aid of Marin. She is a past president of the Richard M. Sangster American Inn of Court (2011-2012).
In 2009, 2010, 2011 and 2012, Ms. Léger was named as a Northern California Super Lawyer "Rising Star," which is a designation awarded to the top 2.5% of attorneys under the age of 40 in Northern California.
Before becoming an attorney, Ms. Léger studied international business and law in Bangkok, Thailand and Barcelona, Spain. She lives in Marin with her husband and their son.
