Sarah N. Leger
Sarah Léger joined Ragghianti Freitas in 2003. Her civil litigation practice focuses primarily on labor and employment law and complex business disputes.
Ms. Léger represents employers, including private companies (both midsize corporations and small businesses) and non-profit organizations in all matters pertaining to employment and labor law, including unlawful termination, discrimination, harassment, retaliation and wage and hour actions. She also specializes in providing counseling services to her clients in the area of employment policies and practices.
Ms. Léger also advises and defends public agency clients in matters involving employment discrimination, employee discipline, and labor relations.
Ms. Léger's litigation practice also includes representation of individuals, including in their capacities as shareholders, officers and directors, and corporations in business disputes, such as shareholder derivative actions and trade secret litigation.
Ms. Léger is an experienced and effective litigator. She focuses her litigation practice on thoughtful discovery, motion practice and trial strategy, and is often successful at obtaining summary judgment for her clients.
Ms. Léger is a member of the Executive Board of Directors of the Richard M. Sangster Inn of Court. Before becoming an attorney, Ms. Léger studied international business and law in Bangkok, Thailand and Barcelona, Spain.
In 2009 and 2010, Ms. Léger was named as a Northern California Super Lawyer "Rising Star," which is a designation awarded to the top 2.5% of attorneys under the age of 40 in Northern California.
